What is Our Holistic Support Service offer ?

Introducing our exciting new Holistic Support Service designed especially for parent carers!

This innovative service is all about providing tailored, solution-focused support for families navigating the journey of a diagnosis for their child.

We believe everyone deserves assistance, regardless of where they are in the process, and we're here to help those who may not know where to start.

Our holistic approach means we cover a wide range of topics during our sessions, ensuring that all your concerns are addressed.

We're thrilled to partner with Sunderland Royal Hospital to offer this opt-out service, aiming to break the stigma around seeking help and recognising the need for support.

In our sessions, you'll enjoy personalised support from a dedicated wellbeing practitioner, the flexibility to how often we meet, mental health assistance as you navigate the "SEND" world, and connections to other vital services and resources.

Plus, you’ll have the chance to set realistic goals and even meet with a financial advisor to ensure you're claiming the right benefits!

This fantastic service is available for parent carers aged 18 and over.

Counselling is a talking therapy offered over 8-12 sessions to parent carers.

Our therapists use a person centred model of counselling, but can also offer a solution focused and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) approach where necessary.

Our service is offered within a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment, with a member of our team of counsellors, who will offer you an empathetic and therapeutic helping relationship.

All of our therapist have the relevant qualifications in counselling, are registered with insurance bodies for your safety and theirs, and are registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Within this helping relationship, you will be able to set a therapeutic aim or goal, exploring avenues of support, and experiences.
